Hello Everyone!
I'm finally back home in Gainesville, FL from a week of the National Alpha Zeta Leadership convention in Raleigh, North Carolina. Home sweet home. I'm actually kind of sad to be back, since the weekend in Raleigh, North Carolina was definitely a lot of fun.
First and foremost though, I had to go ahead and post the slide show presentation I showed at the closing dinner. Just so everyone can view it again and again. I didn't get a chance to fully edit or do any neat stuff to this version since I was ridiculously pressed for time. I still do hope you enjoy it. Now I have the pleasure of sorting through over two thousand photos for processing and posting. Keep an eye out for the photos when I post them later this week!
I had a great time this weekend. Let's build on the wave of enthusiasm from this year to carry on to next year's convention at Cook Chapter - at Rutgers University in New Jersey.
Cheers!

Simple Surprises
Simply Amazing!
Cori and I shot around Gainesville’s historic downtown sites on Thursday, March 5th. The shots were taken at several locations. Our first stop was the UF Mascot Statue of Albert and Alberta outside Emerson Alumni Hall. The next scenes were shot at the Thomas Center gardens, then to nearby "Roper Park/Old City Park" and finally in the more relaxed setting of her living room. She had to study for a Eukaryotic Cells exam that evening (of course while playing her guitar).
A few weeks ago, she mentioned that she wanted to shoot at a playground that had swings. When we were discussing her shoot, she took me to her neighborhood park and had a blast playing with the swings. Come the day of the shoot, I had a simple surprise for her. There were swings at a park one block from the Thomas Center (Roper Park/Old City Park). I spotted the swings when I was scouting for a location.
I tried to make this shoot capture the essence of Cori's personality. The shoot was not about the clothes (which was stunning) or the location (which was picturesque). It was about her.
