Simply Amazing!
Cori and I shot around Gainesville’s historic downtown sites on Thursday, March 5th. The shots were taken at several locations. Our first stop was the UF Mascot Statue of Albert and Alberta outside Emerson Alumni Hall. The next scenes were shot at the Thomas Center gardens, then to nearby "Roper Park/Old City Park" and finally in the more relaxed setting of her living room. She had to study for a Eukaryotic Cells exam that evening (of course while playing her guitar).
A few weeks ago, she mentioned that she wanted to shoot at a playground that had swings. When we were discussing her shoot, she took me to her neighborhood park and had a blast playing with the swings. Come the day of the shoot, I had a simple surprise for her. There were swings at a park one block from the Thomas Center (Roper Park/Old City Park). I spotted the swings when I was scouting for a location.
I tried to make this shoot capture the essence of Cori's personality. The shoot was not about the clothes (which was stunning) or the location (which was picturesque). It was about her.
